Erika Oliver, MA, LLP

She/Her

Erika has been working in the field of behavioral health and addiction for 23 years. As a therapist, she offers clients a warm environment to work on exploration of self and their interaction within their world. She feels that clients benefit from a nurturing place to heal, and she provides that in her practice.

Erika believes that the most vital part of therapy is the development of a therapeutic relationship. Through this relationship clients can have the trust to work on themselves from an honest place within a gentle and safe environment. Such an environment requires liberation from the judgment and critiques that clients have often experienced throughout their lifetime. The client’s strengths and personal preferences will dictate different therapeutic approaches and intervention strategies.

Erika specializes in addiction and issues resulting from unresolved trauma and grief. She has experience in outpatient, hospital, and residential settings. Erika’s current focus has been integrating a holistic care approach with a concentration on wellness through exercise, nutrition, yoga, and other holistic practices.

Erika also works well with teachers as she has a personal interest in the wellness of educational professionals. She understands the difficulties they face daily and works well with the special needs of teachers.

Erika also has special interest and experience with women who have suffered through pregnancy loss, both early and late term miscarriages as well.

You will likely not catch Erika in any like of “dress clothes”. She prefers jeans and a comfy sweater. She is informal and warm in her approach and will partner with you in this way. Her office is a place of comfort, warmth, and often even laughter. She wants your sessions to be a comfortable hour to rest while working on your chosen goals and needs.
